The Employment Administrator manages all aspects of the hiring process as well as providing administrative support for the HR and Safety Departments
 
Duties:
Completing all phases of the New Hire Process
assisting in determining minimum requirements of position
assisting managers in the requisition process through the Applicant Tracking System
review and approve requisition for posting
advertising position externally and posting on state jobsite through workforce services
reviewing applicants and assigning status as needed
assist hiring manager with all appropriate pre-hire requirements per policy
running all required pre-hire processes (i.e-drug screen, background check, MVR)
preparing new employee packets for all locations
ensuring all new hire HR and Safety paperwork is received
notifying all appropriate personnel of new hire (for training, IT, DOT, and  insurance purposes)
setting up new hire in LMS system for orientation assignment
processing e-verify hires as specified
processing new hire paperwork
setting up newly hired salary personnel in Salaried Vacation Management System
 
Administer Applicant Tracking System
making sure each job requisition process is completed and appropriate dispositions are entered
making sure appropriate access is applied to each employee
updating job description data
setting up any newly hired managers in the Applicant Tracking System
providing support and training materials to managers
 
Maintain Human Resources Records
     Managing administration of the Salaried Vacation system and running annual balance updates
     Verifying I-9 paperwork has been authorized correctly
     Managing disposal of documentation based on HR Dept retention guidelines
 
Recruiting
attending job and college fairs
assisting other departments with any recruiting efforts

Support HR
assisting in the scanning and maintenance of personnel files
assisting in educating employees on Company policy matters
helping employees with standard personnel matters
assisting in updating Job Descriptions
 
Support Safety Program
managing the safety shoe and safety glasses reimbursement programs
managing the administration of the safety incentive program
pulling all random and accident drug testing results
assisting in educating employees on Company policy matters
helping employees with standard safety matters
completing annual LP Gas renewals
maintaining safety sign in sheets for meetings
 
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum 1 year of clerical experience preferably working with confidential records
Advanced office & computer skills
Strong oral & written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and efficiently managing time and organization
High degree of accuracy /Attention to Detail
Ability to work with fellow employees and vendors
 
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
 
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
This position is in an indoor office environment with a controlled climate.
This position requires sitting at a computer desk for long periods of time with constant use of a computer keyboard while reading the computer screen.
This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication. And will occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
This position will continuously use hands to type.
